Royals sign rookie forward van Riemsdyk

Reading, Pa. – The Reading Royals have agreed to terms on a contract with forward Brendan van Riemsdyk for the 2020-21 season.

Over four collegiate seasons, van Riemsdyk totaled 50 points (22g-32a) in 144 games. He played his first three seasons at the University of New Hampshiore before completing his graduate transfer season in 2019-20 with Northeastern University. van Riemsdyk was named to the 2019-20 Hockey East All-Academic Team while posting six points (2g-4a).The Middletown, New Jersey is the younger brother of a pair of National Hockey League players - James (Philadelphia) and Trevor (Carolina).
