Scheidl joins Mavericks

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. – The Kansas City Mavericks announced the club has signed veteran forward Lane Scheidl to a contract for the 2020-21 season.

Scheidl, a native of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, returns to North America after two seasons in Slovakia with HK Nitra. Last season, he totaled 27 points (16g-11a) in 53 games.

Scheidl has played 271 career games with Ontario and Kalamazoo, scoring 165 points (79g-86a) and adding 251 penalty minutes. He also has seen action in 34 career games in the American Hockey League with Worcester.
