Adirondack signs Rivera

GLENS FALLS, N.Y. – The Adirondack Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the New Jersey Devils, announced that forward Nick Rivera has been signed to a contract for the 2020-21 season.

Rivera, 24, is coming off of his senior season at Minnesota State University where he served as captain for the past two years. The Pacific Palisades, California native netted 60 points (34g-26a) in 151 games throughout his four-year collegiate career. The Mavericks were the Western Collegiate Hockey Association's regular-season champions in three of Rivera's four seasons with the progam. 

Before attending school, Rivera played two seasons in the United States Hockey League with the Omaha Lancers. He notched 69 points (37g-32a) in 106 games and was named team captain for his final year.

During the 2013-14 season, Rivera skated in one season in the North American Hockey League with the Wenatchee Wild. Rivera was also a participant in the 2016-17 Maccabiah Games, suiting up for Team USA.
