Kapelmaster joins Mavericks

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. – The Kansas City Mavericks announced the club has signed rookie goaltender Justin Kapelmaster for the 2020-21 season.

Kapelmaster, a 24-year-old from Coral Springs, Florida joins Kansas City after finishing his collegiate career at Robert Morris University. Last season, he posted a 12-4-3 record with a 2.48 goals-againsta average and a .930 save percentage.

Kapelmaster transferred from Ferris State University to Robert Morris for his senior season. He played three seasons with the Bulldogs, posting a .916 save percentage and a 2.84 goals-against average over 48 appearances.
