Mavericks bring back Crawford

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. – The Kansas City Mavericks announced the club has re-signed defenseman Marcus Crawford for the 2020-21 season.

Crawford, a 23-year-old from Ajax, Ontario was acquired from the Orlando Solar Bears last season. In 17 games with Kansas City, Crawford accumulated six points (3g-3a). For the entire season, Crawford played in 38 games for the Mavericks, Solar Bears and Toledo Walleye, totaling nine points (4g-5a).

Crawford has American Hockey League experience, playing in eight games for the Grand Rapids Griffins in 2018-19. Overall, this season will be Crawford’s third season in the ECHL. He turned in a strong rookie campaign with the Walleye in 2018-19, posting 26 points (3g-23a) and a +6 rating.
