Rookie Coleman joins Railers

Rookie Coleman joins Railers

Worcester, Mass. – The Worcester Railers Hockey Club, ECHL affiliate of the New York Islanders, announced that the club has signed rookie forward Jake Coleman to a contract for the 2020-21 season.

Coleman is entering his rookie season after spending the last four seasons at Robert Morris University, accumulating 40 points (16g-24a) in 133 career games. He set collegiate career highs this past season in goals (9), assists (12) and points (21), playing in 36 of the Colonials’ 37 games.

Prior to his time with the Colonials, the 23-year-old played for the Muskegon Lumberjacks in the United States Hockey League during the 2015-16 season, tallying nine points (3g-6a). The Moon Township, Pennsylvania spent one season in the North American Hockey League with the Keystone Ice Miners during the 2014-15 season and was named to the NAHL All-North Division Rookie Team after tallying 30 points (5g-25a) in 55 games.
