RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Rapid City Rush, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Arizona Coyotes, announced that rookie forward Jake Wahlin has signed with the team for the 2020-21 season.

Wahlin turns professional with the Rush following his senior season with St. Cloud State University. With the Huskies, he matched a career-high with 12 points (4g-8a) in 34 games.

A native of St. Paul, Minnesota, Wahlin earned 40 points (16g-24a) in 127 career contests with the Huskies. In the 2018 and 2019 seasons, the school captured back-to-back NCHC regular-season championships, in addition to qualifying for the NCAA Tournament in both seasons.

Prior to college, Wahlin played four seasons in the United States Hockey League with the Des Moines Buccaneers and Tri-City Storm, earning 91 points in 127 games. In 2016, he helped the Storm capture the Clark Cup championship. Additionally, he represented Team USA in U-19 competition, and won a World Junior-A Challenge Bronze Medal in 2016.
