INDEPENDENCE, Mo. - The Kansas City Mavericks announced the club signed rookie goaltender Taran Kozun for the 2020-21 season. Kozun, a native of Nipawin, Saskatchewan, joins Kansas City after finishing his collegiate career at the University of Saskatchewan. Last season, he posted a 17-3-2 record with five shutouts, a 1.87 goals-against average and a .931 save percentage. Kozun played three seasons with the Huskies where he posted an overall reocrd of 41-6-3 with a 1.85 goals-against averge and a .928 save percentage.
