NORFOLK, Va. — The Norfolk Admirals announced that they have signed forward Tyler Penner to a contract for the 2020-21 season.
Penner completed his four-year collegiate career at Colgate University where he recorded 25 points in 131 career games. In his senior season, Penner had 10 points (5g-5a). Two of his five goals were game-winning goals. Penner was named to the ECAC All-Academic team in each of his four seasons at Colgate.
Before his tenure at Colgate, the 25-year-old played three seasons with the Steinbach Pistons of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League. He notched 58 points (23g-35a) in his final season while serving as an alternate captain in 2014-15 and captain in 2015-16. Penner was also named to the MJHL Second All-Star Team in both seasons.
