Former Adirondack Thunder and South Carolina Stingrays' goaltender Logan Thompson became the 689th former ECHL player to reach the National Hockey League when he debuted with the Vegas Golden Knights at Minnesota on Wednesday.
Thompson is the 11th former ECHL player to make his NHL debut during the 2020-21 season. He went 2-4-1 with a 2.72 goals-against average and a save percentage of .918 in eight appearances with the Thunder in 2018-19 and in 2019-20, saw action in 32 games for the Stingrays, when he finished second in the ECHL with a .929 save percentage and fourth with 23 wins and a 2.25 goals-against average.
A native of Calgary, Alberta, Thompson is 6-2-0 with a 2.13 goals-against average and a .931 save percentage in eight career American Hockey League appearances with Henderson and Binghamton.
