Verhaeghe is FloHockey/ECHL Alumnus of the Month

Former Kansas City Mavericks’ forward Carter Verhaeghe of the Florida Panthers is the FloHockey ECHL Alumnus of the Month for March.

The 25-year-old scored 10 goals, added six assists and was a +13 in 16 games during the month. Verhaeghe picked up at least one point in 10 of his 16 games in March, with four multi-point games which included a four-point game (3g-1a) on March 27 at Dallas.

A native of Toronto, Verhaeghe recorded 25 points (8g-17a) in 20 games with the Mavericks in 2015-16 and added 32 points (12g-20a) in 16 games in 2016-17.

Selected by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the third round (82nd overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, Verhaeghe has tallied 43 points (26g-17a) in 88 career NHL games with Florida and Tampa Bay, and captured a Stanley Cup title with the Lightning in 2020. He has totaled 175 points (73g-102a) in 211 career American Hockey League games with Toronto, Bridgeport and Syracuse.
