Malott makes NHL debut

Former Florida Everblades' forward Jeff Malott became the 723rd former ECHL player to reach the National Hockey League when he debuted with the Winnipeg Jets on Sunday at Chicago.

Malott is the 25th former ECHL player to make his NHL debut during the 2021-22 season. He made his pro debut with the Everblades last season, picking up one goal in four games.

A native of Burlington, Ontario, Malott has recorded 48 points (32g-16a) in 80 career American Hockey League games with Manitoba.
