Imama makes NHL debut

Former Manchester Monarchs' forward Bokondji Imama became the 725th former ECHL player to reach the National Hockey League when he debuted with the Arizona Coyotes on Friday against Washington.

Imama is the 27th former ECHL player to make his NHL debut during the 2021-22 season. He recorded six points (1g-5a) in 13 games with the Monarchs during the 2018-19 season.

A sixth-round selection (180th overall) by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, Imama has totaled 47 points (21g-26a) in 207 career games in the American Hockey League with Ontario and Tucson.
