Grizzlies sign Texeira

West Valley City, Utah – The Utah Grizzlies have signed experienced defenseman Keoni Texeira for the 2023-24 season.

Texeira spent the last four seasons with the Indy Fuel, serving as the team's captain during his final two seasons with the club. Overall, he talled 101 points (21g-80a) in 223 games with Indy, and ranks second in club history in games played and assists. He spent his rookie pro season with the Wichita Thunder in 2018-19, posting 46 points (7g-39a) in 70 games.

Prior to turning pro, Texeira recorded 143 points (39g-104a) over five seasons with the Western Hockey League's Portland Winterhawks from 2013-18.
