Loukas agrees to terms with Stingrays

Loukas agrees to terms with Stingrays

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Washington Capitals and American Hockey League's Hershey Bears, announced that the club has signed forward Dean Loukus to a contract for the 2024-25 season. Loukus, 21, begins his professional career in South Carolina after spending the last three seasons in the Ontario Hockey League with the Saginaw Spirit and the Mississauga Steelheads.

Loukus spent three seasons with Saginaw, tallying 133 points (48g-85a) in his three seasons with the Spirit and serving as an alternate captain for two seasons.

Ahead of the 2024 OHL trade deadline, Loukus was traded to Mississauga, where he tallied 22 points (8g-14a) in 31 regular-season games.
