Clurman makes NHL debut

Clurman makes NHL debut

Former Utah Grizzlies' defenseman Nate Clurman became the 756th former ECHL player to reach the National Hockey League when he debuted with the Pittsburgh Penguins on Sunday against the New York Islanders.

Clurman is the fourth former ECHL player to make his NHL debut during the 2024-25 season. He had 24 points (3g-21a) in 54 games with the Grizzlies in 2021-22 and three assists in eight games in 2022-23.

Selected by the Colorado Avalanche in the sixth round (161st overall) of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, Clurman has totaled 26 points (6g-20a) in 128 career games in the American Hockey League with Colorado and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
