BOISE, Idaho – The Idaho Steelheads, ECHL affiliate of the Dallas Stars, announced that the club has signed forward Morgan Winters to a contract for the 2026-27 season.
Winters, 24, returns to Idaho after gaining his first ECHL and professional experience with the Steelheads last season. He made a splash in his debut with a two-point performance against the Tulsa Oilers that included his first ECHL goal.
Overall, he grabbed six points (4g-2a) in eight regular-season games while also appearing in two playoff contests.
Prior to signing with the Steelheads, the Osprey, Florida native spent four seasons at the University of New Hampshire, collecting 62 points (27g-35a) in 112 games while also serving as team captain in his senior season.
Across two junior seasons, Winters amassed 71 points (26g-45a) in 90 games with the United States Hockey League's Tri-City Storm, Youngstown Phantoms and Omaha Lancers, and the North American Hockey League's Kenai River Brown Bears.
