Former Idaho Steelheads, Orlando Solar Bears and Fort Wayne Komets forward Tye Felhaber became the 755th former ECHL player to reach the National Hockey League when he debuted with the Colorado Avalanche on Monday at Vancouver.

Felhaber is the third former ECHL player to make his NHL debut during the 2024-25 season. He totaled 83 points (26g-57a) in 71 career games with the Steelheads (2018-19), Solar Bears (2021-22) and Komets (2022-23).

He also represented Fort Wayne at the 2023 Warrior/ECHL All-Star Classic in Norfolk, making him the 74th player from the ECHL All-Star Game to advance to the NHL and the 58th since 2002. Felhaber won the Accuracy Shooting contest during the skills competition at the event, hitting all four targets in 6.5 seconds.

A native of Pembrooke, Ontario, Felhaber has recorded 67 points (33g-34a) in 187 career games in the American Hockey League with Colorado, Milwaukee, Texas, Syracuse and Laval.
