Kerins makes NHL debut

Kerins makes NHL debut

Former Rapid City Rush forward Rory Kerins became the 757th former ECHL player to reach the National Hockey League when he debuted with the Calgary Flames on Monday at Chicago.

Kerins is the fifth former ECHL player to make his NHL debut during the 2024-25 season. He had 37 points (17g-20a) in 38 games with the Rush during the 2022-23 season.

Selected by the Flames in the sixth round (174th overall) of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, Kerins leads the American Hockey League with 21 goals and is fourth with 34 points in 34 games this season. He has totaled 68 points (38g-30a) in 98 career AHL games with Calgary and Stockton.
