Sebrango makes NHL debut

Former Toledo Walleye and Allen Americans' defenseman Donovan Sebrango became the 759th former ECHL player to reach the National Hockey League when he debuted with the Ottawa Senators on Thursday against Washington.

Sebrango is the seventh former ECHL player to make his NHL debut during the 2024-25 season. He had 12 points (1g-11a) in 23 regular-season games with Toledo in 2021-22 before adding two points (1g-1a) in 13 postseason contests as the Walleye reached the 2022 Kelly Cup Finals. Sebrango posted two points (1g-1a) in four games with Allen during the 2022-23 season.

Selected by the Detroit Red Wings in the third round (63rd overall) of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, Sebrango has recorded 38 points (8g-30a) in 198 career American Hockey League games with Grand Rapids and Belleville.
