Jette re-signs with Wichita

WICHITA, Kan. – The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's San Jose Sharks and American Hockey League's San Jose Barracuda, announced that defenseman Tyler Jette has re-signed for the 2025-26 season. 

Jette, 27, joined the Thunder during the 2023-24 campaign, appearing in 20 games after completing his collegiate career. Last year, Jette played in his first full year as a pro, notching 10 points (3g-7a) in 59 games and finished at a +8 rating. 

A native of Farmington, Minnesota, Jette completed a four-year career at Lakehead University where he recorded 28 points (5g-23a) in 87 career games. Jette also tallied two helpers in nine playoff games in 2023-24.

Prior to heading to school, Jette played two seasons with the Alberta Junior Hockey League's Sherwood Park Crusaders. In 2018-19, he was named team captain and had a career-best 27 points (5g-22a) in 45 games.
