Komets bring back Patterson, add Willets

Fort Wayne, Ind. - The Fort Wayne Komets announced the signing of forward Max Patterson and defenseman Jake Willets for the 2025-26 season. 

Patterson skated six games with Fort Wayne last season without registering a point. Before joining the Komets, the 25-yeaer-old played four seasons at the University of Calgary, scoring 71 points (27g-44a) in 89 games. Paterson also skated 320 games in the Western Hockey League with Kootenay, Swift Current, Everett and Seattle.

Willets began last season with Maine, skating in 16 games before finishing the season in Europe. Willets has also had stops in Atlanta and Toledo during his pro career. Before becoming a professional, the 26-year-old appeared in 120 college games with Lake Superior State and Ferris State.
