SAVANNAH, Ga. — The Savannah Ghost Pirates announced the team has signed defenseman Ethan Szmagaj and forward Zach Krajnik to contracts for the 2025-26 season.

Szmagaj, 23, played four games with the Ghost Pirates last year, logging an assist. Like Krajnik, Szmagaj joined Savannah in April after completing his senior season at Arizona State University. The Canton, Michigan native recorded 28 points (6g-22a) in 130 career games with the Sun Devils. Szmagaj served as an alternate captain during his junior year and was named captain in his senior campaign.

Krajnik, 26, also signed with Savannah in early April, appearing in six games and recording four points (2g-2a). He scored his first professional goal on April 6 in Orlando against the Solar Bears. Before turning pro, the Eagle River, Alaska native spent four seasons at Minnesota State University-Mankato, tallying 39 points (13g-26a) in 126 games.
