Cole joins Cyclones

Cincinnati, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones, ECHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs, announced that the organization has signed forward Owen Cole ahead of the 2025-26 season. 

Cole, 25, joins Cincinnati after recording two assists in eight games with Kansas City last season upon the completion of his college career. Prior to his brief stint, Cole played four seasons with UMass-Lowell from 2021-25. In his final season with the River Hawks, Cole tallied 20 points (8g-12a) in 36 games while serving as team captain.

In 2023-24, Cole was a nominee for the Hobey Baker Award after posting a career-high 10 goals while adding seven assists. Cole finished his collegiate career with 61 points (27g-34a), and was named Team MVP in his final season.
