Nardecchia joins Wichita

WICHITA, Kan. – The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's San Jose Sharks and American Hockey League's San Jose Barracuda, announced the signing of rookie forward Nick Nardecchia for the 2025-26 season.

Nardecchia, 24, turns pro after completing a four-year career at Ferris State University. The Macomb, Michigan native collected 31 points (12g-19a) in 127 career games for the Bulldogs.

Prior to college, Nardecchia spent two years at the junior level. He started with the North American Hockey League's Topeka Pilots, playing one game in 2018-19. In 2019-20, Nardecchia appeared in 44 games for Topeka, recording 23 points (10g-13a). He also saw action in the United States Hockey League with Lincoln and Tri-City. Nardecchia played his final year in junior hockey with Lincoln, tallying 12 points (4g-8a) in 43 games in 2020-21
