Rubtsov joins Wichita

WICHITA, Kan. – The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's San Jose Sharks and American Hockey League's San Jose Barracuda, announced the signing of rookie forward Anton Rubtsov for the 2025-26 season. 

Rubtsov, 26, turns pro after spending the last four seasons at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks, where he amassed 67 points (25g-42a) in 100 career games.

Prior to his time at college, he spent three seasons with the North American Hockey League's Lone Star Brahmas and Shreveport Mudbugs. Rubtsov collected 47 points (17g-30a) in 95 games during his junior career, and captured a Robertson Cup title with the Brahmas in 2016-17.
