BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Bloomington Bison announced that defenseman Seung Jae Lee has signed a contract for the 2026-27 season.
Lee played 46 regular-season games with the Bison last season, which was his first in North America. The Gijang, South Korea native scored eight points (3g-5a) while adding 14 penalty minutes.
The 23-year-old attended Yonsei University where he skated in 26 games and amassed 17 points (4g-13a) with six penalty minutes.
In addition to collegiate and pro experience, Lee has represented South Korea internationally in the Asia Winter Games, IIHF World Junior Championship and IIHF World Championship.
Lee won a 2024-25 World Championship D1B Silver Medal and Asia Championship Bronze Medal while also receiving the best plus/minus award in the latter tournament. Prior to the accolades from his most recent season in Korea, he also won the Top Player on Team Award in the 2022-23 World Championship D1A bracket and was a 2021-22 U20 World Junior Championship D2A silver medalist.
