Trois-Rivières, Quebec - The Trois-Rivières Lions, ECHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens, announced the return of defenseman Jake Gravelle for the 2026-27 season.
Gravelle joined the Lions on Feb. 5 last season after appearing in 28 games with the Guildford Flames of the Elite Ice Hockey League. In 26 games with Trois-Rivières, the 26-year-old recorded nine points (3g-6a) while posting a +13 rating.
The Callander, Ontario native spent four seasons at the University of Western Ontario, where he totaled 74 points (17g-57a) in 84 games. His strong collegiate career earned him OUA West Division Defenceman of the Year honors in 2022-23, and he was later named to the OUA West Division Second All-Star Team during the 2024-25 season.
Gravelle also completed his junior career in his home province, skating in the Ontario Hockey League with the Mississauga Steelheads and Hamilton Bulldogs. Over 130 career OHL games, he recorded 38 points (7g-31a) while accumulating 117 penalty minutes.
