Conroy back with Gladiators

Duluth, Ga. - The Atlanta Gladiators, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Nashville Predators and the American Hockey League’s Milwaukee Admirals, announced that the team has signed defenseman Ryan Conroy for the 2026-27 season.

Conroy is entering his second season with the Gladiators after finishing the 2025-26 campaign with 17 points (5g-12a) and a +6 rating in 67 games. In six games in the Kelly Cup Playoffs, he added two points (1g-1a). Conroy was named to the Gladiators’ leadership group as an alternate captain midway through the season.

The 25-year-old was acquired by the Gladiators in a trade with the Adirondack Thunder following the 2024-25 season, in which he scored 29 points (8g-21a) in 71 games to lead all Thunder defensemen in scoring.

The native of Chestermere, Alberta joined the Thunder toward the end of the 2023-24 season, posting two points (1g-1a) in nine regular-season games and adding three assists in nine playoff games in his first taste of professional hockey.

Prior to turning pro, Conroy spent three seasons at Yale University, recording 22 points (3g-19a) in 91 games from 2021-24.
