KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Kalamazoo Wings, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Vancouver Canucks, announced that forward Stepan Timofeyev has signed a contract for the 2026-27 season.
Timofeyev is entering his fifth professional season. The 30-year-old split last season with Greenville and Utah, totaling 25 points (8g-17a) in 38 games.
The St. Petersburg, Russia native broke into the ECHL with Norfolk in 2022-23, scoring 37 points (17g-20a) in 43 games. Timofeyev then spent parts of three seasons with the Admirals (2022-24) before the Swamp Rabbits acquired his rights in 2024. He set a career-high with 53 points (20g-33a) in 2023-24. Timofeyev has recorded 159 points (61g-91a) in 198 career ECHL games
Prior to his time in the ECHL, Timofeyev spent parts of six seasons playing in the of the Federal Prospects Hockey League and the SPHL.
