JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Icemen, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Minnesota Wild and the American Hockey League’s Iowa Wild, announced that the team has agreed to terms with forward Kyle Bettens for the 2026-27 season.
Bettens, 25, made his professional debut last season with the Indy Fuel, suiting up for two games. The Winnipeg, Manitoba native played four years of college hockey with the University of Minnesota-Duluth (2022-25) and Northern Michigan University (2025-26), totaling 43 points (14g-29a) in 132 collegiate games.
Before his college career, Bettens played two years of junior hockey in the United States Hockey League with the Omaha Lancers and Youngstown Phantoms from 2020-22 and two seasons with the Steinbach Pistons in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.
