Spencer Asuchak of the Allen Americans is the Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week for Dec. 19-23.
Asuchak scored three goals - including a pair of game-winning tallies - and added three assists for six points in three games last week.
The 25-year-old had two goals and an assist in a 6-3 win at Tulsa on Tuesday and tallied a goal and two assists in a 6-0 victory over Idaho on Thursday.
A native of Kamloops, British Columbia, Asuchak has 28 points (13g-15a) in 32 games with the Americans this season.
Asuchak has recorded 67 points (29g-38a) in 79 career ECHL games with Allen and Ontario while adding 10 points (5g-5a) in 51 career games in the American Hockey League with Providence, Worcester and Chicago.
On behalf of Spencer Asuchak, a case of pucks will be donated to an Allen youth hockey organization by Sher-Wood Hockey, the exclusive puck supplier of the ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-01, Sher-Wood Hockey has donated more than 35,000 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities.
