ECHL announces fines, suspensions

ECHL announces fines, suspensions

The ECHL on Monday announced the following fines and suspensions.

Florida’s McCarron fined, suspended

Florida’s John McCarron has been suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #378, Florida at Orlando, on Dec. 22.

McCarron is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline as a result of his actions at 9:03 of the second period.

McCarron will miss Florida’s games at Orlando (Dec. 27) and at Atlanta (Dec. 29).

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.

Atlanta’s Baker fined, suspended

Atlanta’s Drew Baker has been suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #376, Greenville at Atlanta, on Dec. 23.

Baker is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline as the result of an unpenalized slashing infraction at 18:35 of the second period.

Baker will miss Atlanta’s games vs. South Carolina (Dec. 27) and vs. Florida (Dec. 29).

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.

Quad City’s Panzarella fined, suspended

Quad City’s Andrew Panzarella has been suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount as the result of his actions in ECHL Game #371, Tulsa at Quad City, on Dec. 23.

Panzarella is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline as the result of an unpenalized elbowing infraction in the third period.

Panzarella will miss Quad City’s games vs. Indy (Dec. 28) and vs. Missouri (Dec. 30).

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.

Colorado’s Sdao fined, suspended

Colorado’s Michael Sdao has been suspended for three games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #367, Utah at Colorado, on Dec. 23.

Sdao is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline as a result of his actions at 15:05 of the second period.

Sdao will miss Colorado’s games at Alaska on Dec. 30, Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.
