The 2017 CCM/ECHL All-Star Classic presented by I LOVE NY is less than three weeks away. The ECHL’s showcase event takes place on Wednesday, January 18 at the Glens Falls Civic Center at 8 p.m. ET. This year’s game will be televised live exclusively on NHL Network.
The starting line-up for the ECHL All-Stars will be announced on Tuesday with the reserves and alternates unveiled on Wednesday. As we prepare for those announcements, let’s take a look at how some of the 2015 ECHL All-Stars are performing this season.

Barnes went on to win the ECHL Rookie of the Year Award with Toledo in 2014-15 after putting up 74 points (34g-40a) in 71 games. After another strong campaign last season with Missouri where he recorded 61 points (24g-37a) in 69 games, Barnes earned an AHL contract with Rockford this season.

Bowman has actually played in the last two ECHL All-Star Games, representing Colorado in both 2013 and 2015. One of the best offensive-minded defensemen in the ECHL over the past several seasons, Bowman is enjoying a solid first season overseas for Vienna with 14 points in 35 games.

The starting goaltender for the ECHL All-Stars in 2015, Cannata had a 2.02 goals-against average and a .927 save percentage in 21 appearances for Ontario that season. He posted 20 wins for Utica in the AHL last season and this year, has helped lead Hershey to the sixth-best record in the league.

Haar represented South Carolina in the 2015 All-Star Game, and after playing for Alaska last season, is enjoying a fine season on the Rush blue line. His seven power-play assists are tied for fourth among ECHL defensemen.

Krushelnyski won the Fastest Skater competition at the 2015 All-Star Game, turning in the third fastest time in ECHL history at 13.470 seconds. He went on to post 57 points as a rookie with Utah in 2014-15 before adding 60 points in 68 games with the Grizzlies last season. This year, he has appeared in a career-high 16 AHL games with Binghamton after a strong start to the season in Wichita.

After a strong first half of the season with Kalamazoo in 2014-15 where he had 11 goals and 19 assists in 31 games, Valk suffered a season-ending injury shortly after participating in the All-Star Game. He rebounded last season to score a combined 39 points (18g-22a) in 42 games with Kalamazoo and Utica and has put together a strong first half of the season this year for the Comets.
