South Carolina Stingrays’ forward Steven McParland is the CCM ECHL Rookie of the Month for November.
The 25-year-old scored six goals, added seven assists and was a +6 in 11 games during the month.
A native of Terrace Bay, Ontario, McParland had at least one point in eight games in November, including a pair of three-point games as he tallied two goals and an assist in a 5-1 win at Orlando on Nov. 10 and had a goal and two assists in a 7-5 loss against Colorado on Nov. 19.
McParland is tied for sixth among ECHL rookies with 14 points (6g-8a) in 14 games this season. He made his pro debut late last season with Elmira, scoring three points (1g-3a) in four games.
Prior to turning pro, McParland recorded 44 points (14g-30a) in 129 career games at Providence College and was part of the Friars’ squad that captured the 2015 National Championship.
