ECHL announces fines

ECHL announces fines

The ECHL on Saturday announced the following fines.

Wheeling’s Currier fined

Wheeling’s Tyler Currier has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #475, Wheeling at Toledo, on Jan. 13.

Currier was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for elbowing under Rule #45.5 at 14:04 of the third period. He is fined under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.

Greenville’s Alderson fined

Greenville’s Brandon Alderson has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #478, Norfolk at Greenville, on Jan. 13.

Alderson is fined under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline as a result of his actions at 18:26 of the third period.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.
