The ECHL on Saturday announced the following fines and suspensions.
Utah’s Martin fined, suspended
Utah’s Colin Martin has been suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #665, Idaho at Utah, on Feb. 17.
Martin is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline as a result of an unepnalized elbowing infraction at 17:50 of the second period.
Martin will miss Utah’s games against Idaho tonight (Feb. 18) and Monday (Feb. 20).
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.
Toledo’s Nightingale to serve suspension
Toledo’s Jared Nightingale, who was suspended for two games on Dec. 16 as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #317, Toledo at Utah, on Dec. 14, will serve his two games tonight (Feb. 18) at Wichita and tomorrow (Feb. 19) at Missouri. Nightingale was loaned to Chicago of the American Hockey League prior to serving any games of his suspension.
