Adirondack inks rookie forward Olsson

Adirondack inks rookie forward Olsson

Glens Falls, N.Y. – The Adirondack Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's New Jersey Devils, announced that the team has signed forward Nikolas Olsson to a contract for the 2018-19 season.

Olsson comes to the Thunder after skating four seasons in his collegiate career at Boston University. The 24-year-old recorded 24 points (9g-15a) in his 92-game college career. Olsson was an alternate captain his final two seasons with the Terriers, while being named to the Hockey East All-Academic Team after the 2016-17 season.

Prior to playing in Boston, the Escondido, California native skated two seasons for the Sioux City Musketeers of the United States Hockey League, registering 23 points (13g-10a) in 75 games. Olsson also has experience at the national level, playing one season each for the U.S. National U17 and U18 teams. He earned a silver medal with the U17 squad at the World Challenge during the 2010-11 season.
