Gladiators add rookie goaltender Minney

DULUTH, Ga. – The Atlanta Gladiators announced that goaltender Ed Minney has agreed to terms with the team for the 2018-19 season.

The Gladiators are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Boston Bruins and American Hockey League's Providence Bruins.

Minney appeared in one game for the Indy Fuel at the end of the 2017-18 season after completing a three-year stint at Michigan State University. The 22-year-old played 38 games for the Spartans from 2015-18. The Wind Gap, Pennsylvania native defended the net for the U.S. National Development Team of the United States Hockey League and posted a goals-against average of 2.63 and .905 save percentage in 2013-14. In 38 games played for the U-18 U.S. National Team that same season, Minney earned a goals-against average of 2.63 and .900 save percentage.
