Toledo, Ohio – Forward Hayden Hodgson has agreed to terms with the Toledo Walleye for the 2018-19 season.
The Walleye are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Detroit Red Wings and American Hockey League's Grand Rapids Griffins.
Hodgson mainly spent his first season of professional hockey with Cleveland of the AHL, where he scored six points (3g-3a) in 41 games. He also had brief stints with two ECHL clubs, playing three games with Florida and two games with Manchester.
The native of Windsor, Ontario played five seasons in the Ontario Hockey League with Erie, Sarnia and Saginaw. In 294 total games played in the OHL, Hodgson recorded 157 points (87g-70a). During his final season in juniors, Hodgson led Saginaw in scoring with 66 points (38g-28a) in 67 games.
