Americans add Duffy

Allen, Texas – The Allen Americans, ECHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild, announced the team has signed forward Ben Duffy for the 2018-19 season.

Duffy joins Allen after playing with the Vipiteno Sterzing Broncos of the Alps Hockey League in 2017-18, where he had 60 points (24g-34a) in 40 games.

Duffy spent a year in the Montreal Canadiens system, playing in 15 games with the American Hockey League's Hamilton Bulldogs in 2013-14. He also has a combined 13 games in the ECHL with Wheeling and Wichita.

The resident of Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia played his junior hockey in the Quebec Major Junior League with the Prince Edward Island Rocket where he averaged 37 goals-per-season over his last three years in the QMJHL.
