INDIANAPOLIS – The Indy Fuel, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Chicago Blackhawks and the American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs, announced that they have agreed to terms with forward Quentin Shore for the 2018-19 season.
Shore split the 2017-18 season between the Florida Everblades and Quad City Mallards, recording 31 points (13g-18a) in 59 games. The 24-year-old logged five multi-point games with the Everblades – including a four-point outing on Jan. 12 against Jacksonville – before he was traded to the Mallards in early March in exchange for forward Sam Warning.
A third-year professional, Shore made his ECHL debut with the Manchester Monarchs in 2016-17, tallying 43 points (18g-25a) in 56 games before joining the AHL’s Ontario Reign for the end of the season. After logging one goal over a 13-game stint with the Reign, the Denver native returned to the ECHL for the 2017 Kelly Cup Playoffs, where he helped the Monarchs climb within a win of the Kelly Cup Finals. Shore’s 15 points (6g-9a) in 19 postseason games ranked second on his team and third among all league rookies.
Prior to turning pro, Shore spent four years at the University of Denver, where he compiled 98 points (40g-58a) in 151 total NCAA contests. A sixth-round selection (168th overall) of the Ottawa Senators in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, Shore also boasts an array of experience in international competition. Shore represented the United States in the 2014 IIHF U20 World Junior Championship, in addition to winning Gold in the 2012 U18 World Junior Championship.
