MANCHESTER, N.H. – Manchester Monarchs Head Coach and General Manager Doug Christiansen announced that the Monarchs have re-signed Sam Kurker to a contract for the 2018-19 season.
The Monarchs are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Los Angeles Kings and American Hockey League's Ontario Reign.
Kurker, 24, returns to the Monarchs after playing in 35 games last season, while recording 29 points (12g-17a). During the 2018 Kelly Cup Playoffs, Kurker led the Monarchs with a +5 rating and ranked second on the team with six points.
The Boston native, was drafted in the second round (56th overall) by the St. Louis Blues in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. Kurker has played in 32 career AHL games between the Albany Devils, Cleveland Monsters and the Springfield Thunderbirds and has racked up seven points (3g-4a).
