Trio of rookies head to Kalamazoo

Kalamazoo, Mich. - The Kalamazoo Wings, ECHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, continued to round out the roster for the 2018-19 season, adding forwards Zach Diamantoni, Russell Jordan and Chris Collins.

Diamantoni spent last season with Northern Michigan University, where he was named captain during his senior season. The Belle Mead, New Jersey native finished his collegiate career having appeared in 150 games, netting 64 points (17g-47a), including a career high 24 points in his senior season.

Jordan also joins Kalamazoo from the college ranks where he spent three seasons with Hamline University. He transferred to Hamline after beginning his college career at University of Wisconsin-River Falls. In 82 NCAA games, Jordan netted 60 points (33g-27a). Upon the conclusion of the college season Jordan made his professional debut, appearing in five games with the Fort Wayne Komets.

Collins comes to the Wings from the University of Calgar. In five seasons with the Dinos, Collins averaged just under a point per game, picking up 131 points (57g-74a) in 140 games. During his final season Collins led the Dinos in points (29).
