Linesman Nathan Frechette has been selected as the Honig’s ECHL Official of the Month for November.
Frechette is in his fourth season as an ECHL official, and also works games in the North American Hockey League, Eastern Hockey League and United States Premier Hockey League, along with several collegiate conferences. He has previous experience in the North American 3 Hockey League, Metropolitan Junior Hockey League and the Federal Hockey League.
He has been selected to work the Kelly Cup Playoffs in each of the past three seasons. Frechette has also officiated the NCAA Commonwealth Coast Playoffs and Northeast 10 Playoffs in 2016, 2017 and 2018, and worked the United States Premier Hockey League All-Star Game and League Finals during the 2017-18 season. He received the Tony Mariconda Official of the Year award from the Metropolitan Junior Hockey League in 2014.
“My favorite part of working in the ECHL is building camaraderie with the officiating staff and getting to know them both on and off the ice,” Frechette said. “It is great to still be involved with the game I fell in love with as a small child. I am so grateful for the opportunity the ECHL has provided me to continue living my dream each and every game.”
