West Valley City, Utah – The Utah Grizzlies have announced the team has re-signed forward Dakota Raabe and defenseman James Shearer for the 2022-23 season.
Raabe tallied seven points (3g-4a) in 10 regular-season games for Utah last season. Raabe added six points (2g-4a) in 14 playoff games. He scored all three of his goals on April 15 vs. Idaho as the Grizzlies clinched the Mountain Division title for the first time in team history. Prior to joining the Grizzlies, Raabe played with Sacred Heart University in the 2021-22 season as a graduate transfer after playing at theUniversity of Michigan from 2017-21.
Shearer scored 11 points (3g-8a) in 13 games for Utah as the end of the 2021-22 regular season after completing a three-year college career at the University of Calgary. Shearer was the captain of the Western Hockey League’s Brandon Wheat Kings in the 2017-18 season.
