Cyclones bring back Mingo

Cincinnati, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones announced that the team has signed defenseman Dajon Mingo for the 2022-23 season.

Mingo has skated in over 300 ECHL games and was the lone veteran on the blue line for Cincinnati last season. He served as an alternate captain during the 2021-22 season and will remain in that role heading into this season.

The 32-year-old has skated in 321 career ECHL games over seven seasons, totaling 152 points (39g-113a). Last season, he led Cyclones' defensemen with 32 points (8g-24a) in 54 games while ranking second on the team with a +18 rating.

Mingo came to Cincinnati ahead of the 2021-22 season following three years in Jacksonville. He was the Icemen's All-Star representative in 2019, and enjoyed career-bests that season with 11 goals and 40 points.
