Vaive returns to Cyclones

Cincinnati, Ohio -The Cincinnati Cyclones announced that the team has signed forward and team captain Justin Vaive for the 2022-23 season. Vaive, 33, has played parts of seven seasons with the Cyclones and he has worn a letter for the team since 2017 and enters his fifth season as captain.

Last season, he ranked fourth on the team with 22 goals and 40 points in 70 games, while adding five points in seven postseason contests. Vaive ranks among the top five all-time among the Cyclones in points (185), goals (102), power play goals (32), games (288), and penalty minutes (500).

The Buffalo, New York native has totaled 220 points (122g-98a) in 348 career ECHL games and captured a Kelly Cup title with Fort Wayne in 2021.

Vaive has spent parts of seven seasons in the American Hockey League with Bridgeport, Hartford and Rochester.
