NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. – The South Carolina Stingrays, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Washington Capitals and American Hockey League’s Hershey Bears, have agreed to terms with defenseman Carter Allen for the 2022-23 season.Allen joined the Stingrays on Oct. 18, 2021, after beginning the 2021-22 season with the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs in the Southern Professional Hockey League. The 25-year-old went on to skate in 62 games last season with South Carolina, the most among all Stingrays defensemen, while picking up 10 assists.Prior to turning pro, the native of London, Ontario played three years of college hockey at SUNY-Oswego from 2017-20, tallying 22 points (4g-18a) in 81 games.
