Americans add Baylis

Allen, Texas –The Allen Americans announced the team has acquired the rights to forward Stephen Baylis in a trade with the Rapid City Rush, and subsequently signed him to a contract for the 2022-23 season.

Baylis had 44 points (22g-22a) in 49 games for Rapid City in 2021-22. His 22 goals were tied for third on the team. The 28-year-old added one assist in 12 games with Tucson of the American Hockey League.

The Ottawa, Ontario native played the last two seasons in Rapid City after making his pro debut with Fort Wayne during the 2019-20 season.

Prior to turning pro, Baylis totaled 89 points (29g-60a) in 152 career games at Bowling Green State University.
